But she wouldn’t have it any other way. As an actress, director and teacher, this crazy sort of lifestyle is not new to this Australian.

It started when she was a child. Always dancing around the house, her mother decided to enroll her in dance classes. Shy while offstage, Kristy soon found herself enrolled in drama classes as well. The combination paved the way to performances in musicals and as part of a talent show group at events, festivals and entertainment venues. Then there were TV commercials for Pringles and the shy girl began to come out of her shell and fall in love with performing.

Fulfilling a Childhood Dream: Muratcan Gökçe, Filmmaker

“I remember feeling sure of what I wanted to be when I was watching Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” in 2001. At that time I was 11 years old.”

Fourteen years later, Muratcan Gökçe, age 25, is fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker. He just finished shooting his first feature length film called “Yeni Dünya” which he and his movie crew hope to premiere in a well known international film festival. A freelance cinematographer and filmmaker, (for more of his experience see his Backstory) Muratcan primarily shoots commercials and recently completed one for a famous Turkish airline. When asked what he’d like to be doing 20 years from now though, he says he dreams of winning an award for his cinematography.
