Celebrating Our Favorite Teachers

This May, we’re all about education at about.me.

Yesterday, we launched campus.about.me that empowers college students and celebrates the college experience. We also want to take time to appreciate the teachers in our about.me community who support students on their journeys.

Álvaro Pascual Sanz who heads off this post teaches math, physics, chemistry and technology in Segovia, Spain. Teaching allows Sanz to constantly learn from his students and innovate his methods.


Thea Hogarth is a language, communication and story-telling expert with experience teaching English, French, literature and writing. Hogarth has also worked on developing language curriculum for young children.


English teacher and DJ E. Delfin incorporates modern art, contemporary film and hip hop music into his lesson plans. Delfin engages his students by connecting them with material that they’re passionate about.

KatherineDreskinKatie Dreskin is both an art teacher and a freelance photographer. Dreskin teaches K-8 art in Columbus, Ohio.

BrePettisLast but certainly not least is Bre Pettis, CEO of MakerBot and former public school teacher.  MakerBot gives people the tools to create and manufacture things themselves.


Anna Lizaur is a Marketing Manager with about.me. She graduated from the University of Virginia. Anna is fluent in Spanish and can count to 100 in Chinese.
