With a new year comes a chance to restart.
You have the opportunity to do things that maybe you didn’t make time for last year. This could include setting new goals, meeting new people, or sharing your story.
Revamping your about.me page is just one simple way to kick the year off with style and better show who you are, where you’re going and who you want to be.
Here are five ways to jumpstart the new year.
- Change your about.me photo to reflect the new you.
Maybe you lost a little weight or dyed your hair, either way, spice up your page with a new photo. It’s one of the easiest New Year’s resolutions you can do.
- Take time to explore a passion.
Did you have a great idea in 2014 that you were just never able to execute? Let 2015 be the year you actually put it into action. If you need a little push, we’ve got 5 tips to help you explore your entrepreneurial side.
- Make new connections.
It might be the cute barista or a CEO you always bump into at that coffee shop, but make a point to make meaningful connections in 2015. Our latest app, Intro, is perfect for sharing your information seamlessly with new people you meet.
- Develop a personal motto to guide you through the new year.

- Get creative online.

Whether it’s Instagram or Tumblr, channel your creative side by sharing inspirational images, quotes, or whatever floats your boat.
- Find a new hobby.
From squash to painting, find something that you love and go for it. Add it as an interest to your about.me bio to find and connect with others who share the same hobbies.
- Start a gratitude journal.
Make 2015 a year for giving thanks. You can do this by chronicling everything that brings you joy and what you are thankful for each and every day. Starting a gratitude journal can not only make you happier, but it can improve the lives of those around you.
- Smile.
It’s amazing how such a simple thing can improve our lives tenfold. You’ll be surprised to learn about all of the benefits of what a smile can do, let alone make you look like a million bucks.
- Promote yourself.

Croatian artist and about.me user Jadranka Lacković uses her page to promote her work.
Why shy away from promoting the things that make you, you? Whether that’s your website or a new project you’re working on, share it with others by putting it on your about.me page or tweeting it out to people you think could benefit from it.
