“I remember feeling sure of what I wanted to be when I was watching Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” in 2001. At that time I was 11 years old.”
Fourteen years later, Muratcan Gökçe, age 25, is fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker. He just finished shooting his first feature length film called “Yeni Dünya” which he and his movie crew hope to premiere in a well known international film festival. A freelance cinematographer and filmmaker, (for more of his experience see his Backstory) Muratcan primarily shoots commercials and recently completed one for a famous Turkish airline. When asked what he’d like to be doing 20 years from now though, he says he dreams of winning an award for his cinematography.
