Happy Fourth of July! Independence Day in the United States celebrates and commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. To honor those who fought for this independence we wanted to share some amazing men and women from the armed forces.
Our lead profile at the top is Sam Comer, who will soon be retiring from the Army and is looking for a role in the private sector. His profile provides a great summary of the skills he’ll bring to his next role.
A bad ass profile comes from Aka Arb, a “devoted wife, besotted mom, world traveler, USAF veteran, adventurer, triathlete, runner, national security wonk, community volunteer, woman of faith, STEM education advocate, weekend chef, bon vivant, caffeinatrix and pragmatic optimist.” Whew! Try topping that.
Mario DeLara might – a Vietnam Veteran, he and his wife are “dedicated to help the visually impaired see the world, read and learn.” He’s also a 15 year member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
Tim Hand is a more recent veteran after two combat tours in Iraq. He, too, is using his page as a tool in his hunt for his next career move, and relocation to Everett, Washington.
Finally, we wanted to send a special shout out to a responder from our posts to Twitter and Facebook. If you love gaming or astronomy, take a look at Scott Ellison‘s profile and explore his online game accounts. Watch our Twitter account today for more.
